gnome-desktop-testing software package provides runner for GNOME installed tests, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop-testing
gnome-desktop-testing is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-desktop-testing package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-desktop-testing *
You will get with gnome-desktop-testing package name, version, architecture and description in a table
